The NSL Aluminium Stair Nosing with External Grade Tredsafe® Insert is specifically designed for commercial and industrial environments where enhanced slip resistance is essential. Manufactured from high-quality 3mm gauge aluminium (AA6063 T6), the NSL profile provides durability, strength and long-term performance.

Compatible with vinyl, linoleum and medium carpets, this versatile stair nosing range is available in Straight, Rakeback and Bullnose profiles, with selected options compliant with DDA and current building regulations. Designed in accordance with BS8300:2009+A1:2010 guidelines, it supports safe access in public buildings.

The Tredsafe® insert is manufactured from a specialised blend of PVC, silica quartz and polymeric plasticiser, producing a homogeneous, heavy-duty anti-slip surface suitable for both wet and dry conditions. The distinctive three-dimensional pyramid pattern provides exceptional grip underfoot, achieving:

• R11 Slip Resistance (DIN 51130:2010)
• Pendulum Test Values: 57 Dry / 47 Wet (BS 7976-2:2002)

Tredsafe® inserts are resistant to UV light, oil, grease, petrol, salt, dilute acids and common detergents, making them suitable for demanding internal and external applications. A polyurethane coating reduces dirt retention, supporting easier maintenance.

Stock lengths are available in 2.46m, 2.77m and 3.22m, with options for cutting and anodising upon request. Channels are available in Mill Aluminium, Black Anodised or Bright Brass, with a range of Tredsafe® colour options including White (601), Black (616), Safety Blue (621), Dolphin Grey (643) and Yellow (647).
