AN81 Aluminium Stair Nosing is a 5mm gauge, bullnosed, single-channel stair nosing designed to provide a durable, safe and visually defined step edge for carpet and carpet tile installations.

Manufactured from Aluminium Alloy 6063 T6, the AN81 features a 68mm tread and 40mm bullnose front edge, offering excellent edge protection and a smooth, rounded step profile.

This profile is available in a range of finishes, including Black Anodised, as well as additional designer and aluminium finishes to suit both commercial and residential interiors. Light Reflectance Values (LRVs) vary depending on finish and insert selection.

Designed with an interlocking back edge, the AN81 integrates seamlessly with compatible profiles including ANRE25 Ramp Extension, ANEXT Tread Extender, and ANE Nap Detail for broadloom carpet installations.

Supplied cut to size up to 2700mm, and available undrilled, drilled for concealed fixing plugs, or drilled with retro-fit infill (Size 8 screw).

For external or heavy-duty environments, the AN81 is also available in Mill Aluminium finish as AN81 GRP, supplied with a glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRPTI49.5) insert for enhanced slip resistance in wet or high foot traffic areas.

Suitable for low to medium traffic staircases. Heavy impact may eventually wear through surface finishes, revealing the natural aluminium beneath.
