The BN1SLR Solid Brass Stair Nosing is a premium-quality, heavy-duty solution designed to enhance both step edge protection and slip resistance in high traffic environments. Manufactured from solid brass grade CZ108 (BS EN12164:2016), this durable profile features a serrated slip-resistant tread and a ramped back edge for seamless installation onto finished floor coverings.
With a 62mm tread and 30mm square front, the BN1SLR provides strong visual definition and long-lasting edge protection. The profile has a 3.5mm gauge ramping down to 1mm, allowing it to sit neatly on resilient flooring such as LVT, vinyl, lino, laminates and ceramics, while also being suitable for direct fixing to stone and timber stairs.
Designed for heavy foot traffic areas including hotels, pubs, schools, retail units, offices and apartment buildings, the BN1SLR delivers dependable durability with a measured Slip Resistance Value (SRV) of 45 wet and 73 dry.
Available in CAT’s four signature brass finishes, including hand-finished antique options, this nosing can be supplied undrilled or pre-drilled for countersunk screw fixings (Size 8). Each length is cut to size up to 2700mm for precise installation. The product is also 100% recyclable at suitable disposal centres.
