The NSL28 External Aluminium Stair Nosing (75mm x 58mm) is a heavy-duty stair edging profile designed for outdoor environments where enhanced slip resistance and durability are required. Manufactured from a robust aluminium channel, the NSL28 incorporates Tredsafe® anti-slip inserts for both the tread and riser, creating a strong contrasting band of colour that improves step visibility and safety.

The profile is designed to meet the accessibility guidance set out in Approved Document M and BS8300:2009+A1:2010, helping provide safe and clearly defined stair edges in public buildings and external access areas.

The Tredsafe® insert is specifically developed for demanding environments and is manufactured from a special blend of PVC, silica quartz and polymeric plasticiser. This combination creates a homogeneous, hard-wearing anti-slip surface suitable for both wet and dry conditions.

The insert features a distinctive three-dimensional pyramid pattern which provides excellent slip resistance underfoot, making the NSL28 external stair nosing ideal for areas exposed to rain, moisture and heavy foot traffic.

When choosing insert colours, reference should be made to the Light Reflective Value (LRV) of the surrounding floor surface and the stair nosing insert. To achieve effective visual contrast, the difference between these values should be greater than 30 LRV points.

The NSL28 75mm x 58mm aluminium stair nosing is supplied in a mill aluminium finish as standard, with additional anodised and powder coated finishes available on request to suit project requirements.
