Aluminium Formable Trim provides a professional solution for protecting the edges of ceramic tiles and similar hard finishes. This L shaped extruded aluminium profile is specifically designed for curved floor and wall areas, ensuring a neat and durable finish.

The EFA profile can be easily shaped to follow curves while maintaining full edge protection. Available in a wide range of depths (from 4mm to 12mm) and anodised finishes, this trim offers excellent versatility for both domestic and commercial installations.

Dimensions may vary by up to ±5mm in line with supplier manufacturing tolerances.

Select ESA/EFA trim depth according to tile thickness.
Apply tile adhesive over the area forming the perimeter of the tiled covering.
Press the perforated anchoring leg of the profile into the adhesive and align. Mechanical fixing may be used if required.
Trowel additional adhesive over the anchoring leg to ensure full coverage.
Embed tiles solidly so the surface is flush with or up to 1mm lower than the top of the profile.
Fill the joint completely with grout.

What is the length of the aluminium trim?

All ESA/EFA profiles are supplied in 2.5m lengths.

Can this profile be used externally?

Yes, anodised and powder-coated versions are suitable for external use, with working temperatures from -10°C to +60°C.

What is the minimum bend radius?

The minimum forming radius by hand is 155mm (flange out) and 185mm (flange in).

Does the trim require maintenance?

No special maintenance is needed. Oxidation can be polished away, but aluminium must be protected from prolonged alkaline exposure.
