The NSL27 Tredsafe Aluminium Non-Slip Stair Nosing Edge Trim is designed to enhance safety and visibility on stairs. This profile features an aluminium channel with a choice of insert materials for the tread and riser, creating a strong contrasting band of colour. It complies with the guidelines in Approved Document M and BS8300:2009+A1:2010, making it ideal for areas without surface floor coverings or with resilient flooring.
When selecting the insert colour(s), consider the Light Reflective Value (LRV) of the surrounding floor covering and the stair nosing itself. The difference in these values should be greater than a factor of 30 to ensure optimal visibility.
The profile is supplied in a Mill finish as standard, with other anodised and powder-coated options available upon request. The external grade Tredsafe Insert is made from a special blend of PVC, silica quartz, and polymeric plasticiser, providing a durable, anti-slip surface suitable for both wet and dry conditions. The three-dimensional pyramid pattern enhances slip resistance in all environments.
